MaxFX is for patients with deeper scars. The CO2 laser can
be switched to MaxFX, the classic CO2 laser treatment, which
is the gold standard for removal of deep scars, facial lines and
skin tightening. MaxFX can also be used to remove epidermal
skin lesions without a surgical scar. MaxFX requires a longer
recovery time of ten to fourteen days.
People experience different types of scarring from acne, and
every person is left with different facial topography. Since
getting rid of acne scars is a complex process, combining
treatments may produce the best results.
Acne scar treatments require that a person's skin be free of active acne. For more severe acne scarring, sometimes more than one treatment is prescribed depening on the
individual.
