| What is Thermage? |
Thermage is the only non-invasive procedure that helps tighten
and contour your skin in a single treatment—with no surgery,
no injections, and little to no downtime.
Instead, Thermage stimulates your body’s natural renewal of
collagen, which creates subtle, natural looking results on and
off the face.

| How does Thermage work? |
Thermage strengthens the collagen in the skin without surgery
and reverses the signs of aging by:
- Tightening the skin
- Lifting the eyebrows
- Tightening loose skin around the chin, jaw and neck
- Softening the appearance of scarring caused by acne
- Softening deep forehead creases and laugh lines
|
Thermage works by delivering heat energy through a handpiece
to the deeper parts of the skin (dermis). This handpiece also
has a cooling spray that protects the superficial part of the skin
(epidermis) from injury. The heat energy causes the deeper
tissues to contract to decrease the appearance of lines. Eventually
new collagen develops and remodels to give an even firmer
appearance to the skin. This technique is non-ablative in that
it does not cause damage to the surface of the skin.
Thermage does not cause damage to the skin surface, unlike
dermabrasion and laser resurfacing. Therefore, there is little
to no down time. |

| How long does the procedure take? |
Depending on the area(s) being treated, Thermage can take up
to a couple of hours. Patients can return to work the same day,
unlike a facelift in which patients usually take at least 2 weeks
to recover. Similarly, there is no scar unlike the surgical facelift
procedure.
